This knife for auction is the fine 2005 issue, case brothers genuine bone toothpick, 1st run xx variation, 3 closed.The scales are the splendid looking case walnut genuine bone with the old style case coat of arms shield. The rear side features the acse 1st run xx engraving. Only 500 were issued of these, a pre release to the standard issue case brothers toothpick. The case brothers cutlery company was actually the very first brand to carry the case name. Jean, john, andrew, and w. R. Case founded the case brothers cutlery company in february of 1900 in little valley, ny. It remained in operation until destroyed by fire in february fo 1912. This case brothers toothpick is tang stamped on the clip blade with case bros. Cutlrey co. And 5 x's, dating this as a 2005 issue case knife, and pattern stamped on the rear tang of this blade with usa 610096 ss.
